bio

Rachaelis passionate about the way music crosses all borders and connects even the two unlikeliest of strangers. An active freelancer in Toronto, ON, she plays regularly with HER GYPSY JAZZ GROUP- DJANGO FUTURO, her folk band, coldwater roots, the TALISKER PLAYERS and Thin Edge NEW Music Collective.

Mrs. Abramoff holds a Masters of Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelors of Music from the University of Calgary. She has also completed her Royal Conservatory Grade 10 Violin and Suzuki Violin Teachers Training under the tutelage of William Star. As a soloist and concert artist, Rachael has performed in ensembles across Canada. These include: CALGARY PHILHARMONIC, HAMILTON PHILHARMONIC, Red Deer Symphony, SYMPHONY NEW BRUNSWICK, Kingston SymphonY, Prince Edward Island Symphony, The National Youth Orchestra of Canada and L’Orchestre de la Francophonie in Quebec.

Rachael loves to inspire children and youth with the joys of making music and teaching them to share their art with others. She is a regular teacher at her private studio as well as at Forest Hill Music Academy in Toronto.
